5th Pendle Beer Festival
The 5th Pendle Beer Festival will open its doors to the public once again from Thursday 5 to Saturday 7 February 2009.
The organisers will be getting very steamed up about this years festival to ensure they bring you the very best real ales in the country. This year's theme should invoke a wave of nostalgia for the railways of old. "All steamed up" is guaranteed to bring you a range of quality beers named after railway themes like "Golden Arrow", "Chipping Steamer" and "Railway Sleeper". Brewers like Cottage and Ossett will showcase their beers alongside local successful brewery giants Thwaites, Moorhouses and Copper Dragon. In total over 65 real ales and ciders will be available to sample and judging by last year's record crowd of over 2000 visitors, people appreciate the care and attention CAMRA volunteers give to serving beer in tip top condition.
Locals and visitors alike will be pleased to know Pendle Leisure Trust have made the Colne MUNI Theatre available once again and we intend to ensure that everyone who comes enjoys the event and supports Pendleside Hospice fund raising events we have planned. Previous years saw Pendle Festival raise a record £4,000 for this charity, a quite remarkable feat.
